Alton Towers have submitted plans to the local council for the removal of the Corkscrew and the installation of a new rollercoaster for the 2010 season. Plans for the rollercoaster make the ride look huge, no manufacture is listed for the ride but the layout like very windy around the woods.
Thorpe Park is set to launch “saw – the ride”, the first-ever horror film rollercoaster – the world’s scariest ride in 2009.

Alton Towers continues to remove the rollercoaster track from the Black Hole tent in X Sector. Supports are still being dragged out of the tent, hopefully, something will replace Black Hole in the next few years.

THORPE PARK is delighted to announce that on Wednesday 30th January 2008 Runnymede Borough Council granted full planning consent for the Park’s fourth major rollercoaster (sixth in total), and construction will commence in July 2008.
